Fourth of July with the Rabucks

I headed down to Palm Harbor, Florida to visit my friends Adam, Jea and their son Jonah for the long weekend. I had a blast swimming in their pool, visiting monkeys, and hanging out with Jonah.

Adam volunteers at the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary and I got a private tour! It was awesome.Adam gives the monkeys gum to buy their love.

Cheetah is a male chimp in his early 70's. He was one of the original "Cheetahs" from Johnny Weismuller's Tarzan movies. He has been at the sanctuary since the 1950s.

Blue, a Blackhanded Spider Monkey, was my favorite.

Cute!

The proper way to approach large animals.

Jonah says Hi to the big guys.

Adam, Jea, and their dog Gang night swimming.

Jonah had never had meatloaf before so I made him some. I think he liked it, but not as much as Sesame Street.

Jonah in his Bret Michaels inspired pajama pants. Super cute!

Driveway fireworks!

It's never too early to learn how to play the drums.

I can't wait to go back.

Hi, Shane! (Adam's Mom, here) What great photos and comments! I just loved reading your very well-done blog. Many thanks. I think the Palm Harbor Rabucks had as much fun on your visit as you did. xo
PS: We may try those recipes. :)
